In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Southern District, detectives have arrested 31-year-old Davahughn Johnson of Baltimore.

Johnson was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Charles Brothers on December 28, 2025, in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Light Street, following a verbal dispute.

On December 31, 2025, Warrant Apprehension Detectives arrested Davahughn Johnson without incident in the 500 block of Saint Paul Street. Johnson was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with First-Degree Murder.

Southern District Homicide InvestigationOn December 28, 2025, at approximately 1:54 a.m., Southern District officers responded to the 100 block of East Cross Street to investigate an unresponsive person lying on the ground in the parking lot.Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male who appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced deceased by medics on scene.Homicide detectives responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
