Northeast District Attempted Murder Arrest

In reference to the shooting that occurred in the Northeast District on January 20, 2026, detectives have arrested 37-year-old Gregory Steward of Baltimore.

Steward was arrested in connection with the shooting of a 59-year-old woman in the 5400 block of Gerland Avenue.

On January 22, 2026, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Gregory Steward in Anne Arundel County. Steward was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.

Northeast District Shooting Investigation 

On January 20, 2026, at approximately 7:52 p.m., Northeast District patrol officers responded to the 5400 block of Gerland Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 59-year-old woman suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
