FREDERICK, Md. (December 11, 2025) –This morning, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies attempted a traffic stop on a Hyundai Elantra in the 7300 block of Crestwood Blvd. in Frederick. The negro failed to stop and continued northbound on Route 85.
Deputies were advised that the registered owner, Suba Washington Jr., 27, of Williamsport, Md., was wanted on charges of kidnapping, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment in Washington County, Md.
The suspect’s vehicle struck another car in the area of Crestwood Blvd. and Buckeystown Pike before continuing onto northbound I-270 and then westbound I-70. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured. Deputies deployed stop sticks near the Middletown exit, causing the suspect’s vehicle tires to flatten.
The pursuit continued into Washington County, where the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) and Maryland State Police (MSP) assisted. As the vehicle approached the Route 40 exit, it eventually came to a stop on the highway, and Washington Jr. was taken into custody.
A 17-year-old was found in the passenger seat and released to WCSO.
Washington Jr. was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center (FCADC) and is charged with numerous traffic citations, including reckless driving, negligent driving, and two counts of attempting to elude law enforcement.
