The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit identified and charged a suspect in connection with a recent murder in Suitland. The suspect is 32-year-old Joshua Dawson of Suitland. He’s charged with the murder of 32-year-old Brandon Foulks of Suitland.
On January 18, 2026, at approximately 11:20 am, officers responded to the 3900 block of Suitland Road for a shooting. Once on scene, they located the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified Dawson as the suspect. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot the victim during an argument. Dawson and Foulks are known to each other.
With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Myrtle Beach Police Department (SC), he was taken into custody in South Carolina where he remains pending extradition. The suspect is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
